Thrill the Birds - Open a dialogue between you and the birds with the J Schatz Mobile Bird Feeder, and awaken your appreciation for art, beauty, science and nature . Like branches, the feeders dip and sway creating a dynamic feeding environment that is irresistible and fun. Finely crafted by hand in stoneware, Mobile Bird Feeders are durable and easy to use in any environment. Available in two styles: Top Feeding and Side Feeding, with either one feeding tube (“Seesaw”) or two (“Carousel”). Seesaw feeders are available in fifty-six color combinations, Carousel feeders are available in two color combinations. Made in New York.
Easy to Use - The Top Feeding Mobile Bird Feeder is easy to use. Seesaw models feature a single stoneware feeding tube suspended by a vinyl coated wire resting on a stoneware balancing ring secured with an aluminum button stop. Birds eat from the two 1 1/4” diameter top feeding holes on either end of the tube. The Carousel model has an additional feeding tube supported by a stoneware balancing weight with two 1 1/4” diameter top feeding holes on either end of the tube. Each mobile bird feeder comes with an easy to use seed scoop and user-guide. Seesaw models hold 4 1/2 cups of seed; Carousel models hold 9 cups.
Top Feeding or Side Feeding - All Mobile Bird Feeders may be used in any climate or setting; Side Feeding models may be preferred in wetter climates, and Top Feeding models may be preferred in drier environments. Both models have small holes on the bottom side at each end of the feeding tube to drain water that may enter the tube. Feeders should be checked and filled regularly, and any seed refuse that may accumulate removed.
Beautiful & Durable - The beautifully finished glossy stoneware feeding tube and aluminum assembly are perfect for outdoor use in any weather, harsh or mild. The feeder’s durable finish withstands temperature extremes yearlong, and the aluminum poles and vinyl coated hanging wire are rust resistant.
Squirrel Proof - Squirrels will not be able to eat from the feeder if it is hung at least three feet away from surrounding surfaces. When squirrels are forced to jump onto the feeder they simply can't hold onto the glossy surface of the feeding tubes because the dynamic motion of the feeder will force them off.
Care - Wipe ceramic and aluminum surfaces clean with a damp cloth. Once every few months we recommend cleaning the feeder with a solution of 10% bleach to water. Pour solution in feeder, allow it to set for ten minutes, then drain completely and rinse thoroughly with water. Allow the feeder to dry completely before refilling. If any mold should accumulate in feeder, scrub interior of feeder with the 10% bleach to water solution using a stiff brush. Once mold is removed, clean the feeder as above.
Hand Made - Mobile Bird Feeders are handmade exclusively by J Schatz in New York. |
